STARS BRING HOME SILVER

Saskatoon Stars returned home from the Esso Cup with a silver medal. The Stars were defeated by Edmonton 7 to 3 in the Gold medal game.

During the round robin tournament Saskatoon finished tied for second place with 2 wins - 1 loss & 2 OT losses.

In semi-final action Saskatoon defeated North York 3 to 2, while Edmonton needed overtime to defeat Lloydminster 1 to 0.

Stars forward Halle Duchene was named the Top Forward at the tournament, congrats!

Saskatchewan referee Kate Sauser worked the gold medal game along with linesperson Megan French a former Swift Current Wildcat player, now residing in Alberta, well done ladies.
